If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Sripad Sri Vallabha requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Yoenit (talk) 11:43, 30 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Duggirala Gopalakrishnayya, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.ongoleinfo.com/andhraratna.php.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. The article PVN Acharya has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Limited citability in GScholar, no other evidence of satisfying WP:PROF or WP:BIO

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Nsk92 (talk) 01:55, 27 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please see my comments on the talk p. of the above article, about whose accuracy I am considerably puzzled. DGG ( talk ) 00:44, 2 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

We have the practice WP:LIST that we do not include individuals in lists such as this unless they either have a Wikipedia article about them, or the information given indicates that such an article is like to be supportable. I am accordingly removing a number of unlinked people. I am starting with those where there seems to be no information at all. Please feel free to re-add them after articles have been written DGG ( talk ) 00:51, 2 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

PVN Acharya[edit]

I would like to thank you for creating the page on PV Narasimh Acharya, who happened to be my late father. I believe you copied/pasted what I wrote under Telegu Brahmins, or List of Brahmins, Contributions to Society. Unfortunately, there are guys on Wikipedia who can't resist finding excuses to delete the information and the significant contributions that Indians/Indian Americans have made. Nomination of PVN Acharya for deletion[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article PVN Acharya is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PVN Acharya until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Dougweller (talk) 18:36, 17 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

October 2012[edit]

Hello, I'm DVdm. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Telugu Brahmins in media and entertainment without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks, DVdm (talk) 15:19, 15 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
